Procedures

I will highlight the most commonly requested and performed procedures without much detail. Detail is best explained during a one on one relaxed consultation.

To prevent bleeding problems it is essential that you avoid the following medication for at least 2 weeks before surgery:

• Aspirin
• NSAIDS (Non-Steroidal Anti-infammatory Drugs) e.g. Ibuprofen, Diclofenac (Voltaren)
• Vitamins (especially high dose Vitamin E), Arnica, herbal and other supplements

If you are not from Cape Town, I require that you remain in Cape Town for 3 days before surgery and a minimum of 2 weeks after surgery. I might suggest a longer stay depending on the procedure
